CMCI PhD Student Appointed Editor of the London Journal of Tourism, Sport and the Creative Industries

Posted by lostincci on May 17, 2010

Nicole Ferdinand, PhD student at CMCI, has been recently been appointed editor of the London Journal of Tourism, Sport and the Creative Industries (LJTSCI) and has just published her first edition of the journal, which focused exclusively on young researchers. Articles were written by early career academics, PhD and Masters’ students.

As an early career academic and PhD student she was very happy to provide a publication outlet for the researchers featured in her first edition, many of whom were publishing for the first time. These articles covered a wide range of topics which were specifically relevant to current developments within the tourism and hospitality industries.

Nicole is currently seeking papers for her next edition which will be published in November 2010 and is dedicated to providing an understanding of the Creative Industries and highlighting the diversity, and dynamism of organisations operating in this sector.

Anyone wishing to submit an article for the next edition should e-mail Nicole at ljtsci@londonmet.ac.uk. Fellow CMCI PhD students and MA students at Kings are specially invited to submit their works-in-progress. The current edition is available for free download here.

For more information about Nicole and the London Journal of Tourism, see the attachment at the bottom of her CMCI web profile.
