Dr Bridget Conor has recently been appointed to a working group titled: ‘Evaluating Creative Production in Digital Environments’. The working group is funded by the Digital Media and Learning Research Hub (http://dmlcentral.net) based at the University of California Irvine and is supported by the MacArthur Foundation. It is led by Cecilia Suhr, based at Miami University Hamilton and involves scholars from the USA and the UK who are researching forms of digital creative production andevaluation from theatre to broadcast television, fashion blogs to online music production.

Dr Conor’s contribution will be an exploratory investigation of new kinds of screenwriting production and evaluation that are developing in digital spaces: online script analysis, screenwriting competitions and both formal and informal practices of screenwriting teaching and learning.

The working group now has a project blog up and running here and the group will be posting about their research and ongoing conversations as they develop: http://digitalevaluation.wordpress.com/
