Curating (in) the Gulf workshop

Posted by lostincci on November 22, 2013

Dr Btihaj Ajana recently ran the workshop “Curating (in) the Gulf” as part of her Creative Futures project on the dynamics of cultural and museum developments in the Gulf region. The event, which brought together several King’s College London academics and cultural practitioners from UK art institutions, explored questions of transnationalism, orality and audiences in the Middle East within the context of curatorial practices.

The project is part of a series of initiatives supported by King’s Cultural Institute which seek to bridge between academics and the wider cultural sector, test new ideas and develop impact on cultural processes, policies and creative content.workshop 1a
