Save the date! CMCI student Irina Jibert is producing a multidisciplinary opera called PUCK that will be premiered on Thursday 17 March at the Concert Hall of Royal College of Music.

The new creation is based on Shakespeare’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”. It was created in collaboration with Royal College of Music composers, Royal College of Art visual artists and emerging London-based artists in dance, scenography, writing and singing.

Placed between dream, virtuality and reality, PUCK reimagines Shakespeare’s play within contemporary London and addresses issues relevant to young people living in the city today. With new technologies as a central theme, the opera rethinks essential notions such as free will, imagination, love and youth.
