CMCI’s Dr Joanne Enwtistle has staged the seventh of her “Configuring Light/ Staging the Social” seminars –this one held at the London School of Economics in collaboration with the LSE’s Don Slater.

The topic for seminar seven was “Light and Lighting in Visual Culture”, with a panel on light and visual representation chaired and introduced by CMCI visual culture specialist Professor Richard Howells. Topics ranged from Renaissance painting to the semiotics of the bare light bulb.

The three-year, “Configuring Light/ Staging the Social” series is funded by the Economic and Social Research Council. For more details go to: www.configuringlight.org
